I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), a teacher, and a Life Coach.  For over 20 years I have counseled hundreds of individuals and families while working in a variety of settings including wilderness programs and therapeutic boarding schools. As a Program Director, I developed and implemented a school-wide Psychology and Emotional Intelligence curriculum, and have a long history of facilitating multi-day family immersion workshops, parenting seminars, and leadership training both in-country and abroad. I am currently offering individual and family coaching services, as well as nature-based retreats for individual and collective healing.

Why work with me?

PROFESSIONALLY

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years experience. I’ve worked among a number of outstanding people in various models, located in incredible places. Over the years, I’ve facilitated countless individual, family, and group-oriented sessions, and have led teams and programs in administrative roles.

Now I work alone but collaborate with others; I’m a continual student and so well-read and resourced.  I have tangible resources and skills to share.

Due to my training, I am able to work with individuals as well as family systems. I maintain confidentiality and encourage active communication among members.

I offer free, zoom-based workshops to reduce stress and encourage connection, and co-lead nature-based retreats through my sister company https://www.rootedconnectionsretreats.com/

As a Life Coach, I can work with you wherever you're located. In-person sessions can include dog walks and hikes.

PERSONALLY

I pretty much get it.  I’ve experienced so many things in my life... good and deeply painful.  I’ve moved through, and grown from, some very painful experiences for which I can now say I’m grateful. With supportive guidance, they helped me discover and claim more of who I truly am, and develop confidence in my ability to navigate life. They humbled my ego and opened my heart; these “soul descents” sparked a spiritual inquiry which informs my life.

This process has been beautifully painful, then healing, and now inspiring.  It has been so worth it, and I am eternally grateful for all of it…including the struggles that inspired such personal growth.   I fully believe this is available to all of us, and I hope you seek this process for yourself and your community.

However, it is important to understand that coaching is not therapy.
